Denacus is a musician based in Regional NSW in the small rural country town of Moree. Denacus's personal mental health journey has played a significant role in shaping the musical inspiration and creativity of his work.

Denacus' struggle with mental health has provided a unique lens through which he view's the world. After experiencing bullying in his earlier years, Dean recieved the diagnosis of Psychotic Depression at 13 years old. This developed an obsessive inner hatred towards himself and others at the age of 14. After a violent attempt of arson which would have lead to significant self injury, Deanacus strived to get better but through his journey experienced a cycle of misdiagnosis and incorrect medications.

Despite these experiences, Denacus continues to uses the power of music to tell his story, overcome past battles and raise awareness on the reality of mental illness.

Experiencing mental health challenges has brought a deep emotional understanding and sensitivity in Denacus' music. This produces more authentic and impactful music, that channel feelings of sadness, anxiety, or introspection.

Music has enabled Denacus to express complex emotions and has become a powerful outlet for what is usually difficult to articulate. For many artists, creating music becomes a way to process and communicate their internal experiences, turning personal pain into something that resonates with others.

In a 'Do It Yourself' approach, Denacus has been recording his original music and releasing under his label 'GawdDamnRecordings' since 2015. Also performing in cover bands and volunteering to show his genre versatility by playing at the local aged care home events. He has also dabbled in theatre with involvement in a local community group.

In 2024, Denacus has kicked off the year with 7 new single releases along with a Music Video for his song dRIP. Now altering his own Experimental sound into a unique and evolving blend of Emo Rap, Dark Trap Metal, Horrorcore and Heavy Metal.
